PHONE APPS ARE THE FUTURE
Ten years ago, successful businesses had to have brochures and business cards. Five year ago, successful businesses had to have a website and a v-card

In the next two years, successful organizations will need a smartphone app to keep up with customer, supporter and donor demands.

Until now, smartphone apps have been out of reach for most small to mid-size organizations.

Great News! We've found a group who is providing reasonably priced smartphone apps for small to mid-sized organizations.

There are basically three kinds of smartphone apps.
1. Web Based platform
2. Native platform
3. Hybrid platform

Web Based Apps are links to websites. The main problem is that they are not available on Apple app store or the Android market. Web Based Apps are not interactive and cannot send "Push" communications to those who have downloaded your app. "Pushs" are short text messages that are comprised of 100 characters or less.

Native Apps are NOT linked to websites. Rather they are posted directly on servers and therefore, they take a considerable amount of upkeep. Meaning, you would have to hire a webmaster to keep the Native App up to date. Native apps are very costly. The development and initial fees generally begin around $50,000 and climbs up to around $500,000. While Native Apps provide "push" capabilities, the start up and on going costs make this kind of an app out of reach for most small to mid-size businesses and organizations.

Hybrid Apps are composed of 60% Native and 40% Web-based. Therefore, you get the performance of a Native App and the user friendly function of a Web-based App. Furthermore, Hybrid Apps are the most cost effective and reliable app platform on the market today. Hybrid Apps cost as low as $348 to develop and $108 a month. These apps are connected to your website and have the ability to communicate instantly with your donors and clients using "push" capabilities.
